What you pay, and when
| To form it | $250.00, once. $250 to the Division, plus $50 a year for an Alaska business license, which the same office requires of anyone doing business in the state. So the first year is $300, not $250. |
| Every two years | $100.00. Two separate things. Within six months of forming you file an Initial Report, which is free. After that it is a Biennial Report, $100, due January 2 — of even-numbered years if you formed in an even year, odd years if you formed in an odd one. Filing opens the October 2 before. |
| If you miss it | $37.50 added from February 2, taking the report to $137.50. Miss enough of them and the company is involuntarily dissolved, which costs more again to undo. |
| Registered agent | Required. You can be your own if you have a street address in Alaska and do not mind it being public. |
| Local license | Alaska requires a state business license on top of registering the company — $50 a year, from the same Division, renewed every year whether or not anything else changes. |
Do it yourself
You file this directly with the state. There is nobody in the middle who has to be paid to do it, and nothing on this page is a Base888 charge — the fees above are paid to Alaska.
