What you pay, and when

To form it$150.00, once. $150 online, $165 on paper — South Dakota adds a flat $15 for anything filed on paper, on this and on the yearly report.
Every year after$55.00. Due the 1st of the month you formed in, every year, starting the year after. File in June 2026 and the first one is due June 1, 2027. You can file it from two months before that date, and $55 online or $70 on paper.
If you miss itYou have two months past the due date before anything happens. After that the company goes Delinquent and a $55 late fee is added on top of the report — that is what the state's FAQ says; an older page in the same filing system still says $50. Stay delinquent and the company is administratively dissolved; reinstating is $150 plus every report and fee you skipped.
Registered agentRequired. You can be your own if you have a street address in South Dakota and do not mind it being public.

Do it yourself

You file this directly with the state. There is nobody in the middle who has to be paid to do it, and nothing on this page is a Base888 charge — the fees above are paid to South Dakota.
