What you pay, and when
| To form it | $180.00, once. $180 covers the Certificate of Formation and, if you send it at the same time, the Initial Report. File that report separately later and it is $10 — free only if it goes in with the formation, which is the sort of thing worth knowing before you submit. |
| Every year after | $70.00. Due by your expiration date, which is the last day of the month you first registered, and you can file it up to 180 days early. Separately, an Initial Report naming your principal office and governors is due within 120 days of forming — file it with the formation and it costs nothing. |
| If you miss it | $25 on top of the $70, so $95. The state counts the date it receives the report, not the date you mailed it. If the company lapses entirely, reinstating is $140 plus every annual report fee you missed. |
| Registered agent | Required. You can be your own if you have a street address in Washington and do not mind it being public. |
Do it yourself
You file this directly with the state. There is nobody in the middle who has to be paid to do it, and nothing on this page is a Base888 charge — the fees above are paid to Washington.
